Hi, my name is Nick and I play for the US Blind Hockey Team.
At the age of 7 I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative retinal disease. After playing competitive sighted hockey throughout my childhood, I was forced to stop due to my vision loss. After 15 years of not playing hockey, I was introduced to blind hockey in 2019 and asked to represent our country on the US Blind Hockey team, with the ultimate goal of competing in the 2026 Paralympics.
With the sport being fairly new, sponsorships are hard to come by and travel to training and competitions is expensive. I would be so grateful for any contributions to help me represent this country and continue playing the sport I love.
