Nick is a proud Andersonville citizen who has called Chicago home for over 20 years. On Monday, December 15th, 2025, his life changed in an instant when a devastating 3-alarm fire tore through his apartment building. In a matter of hours, Nick lost everything he owned. The only things he was able to save were himself and his beloved dog, Tyler.

Nick did not have renter's insurance, and with his closest family living more than 10 hours away, he is facing this overwhelming challenge largely on his own. Despite the heartbreak and uncertainty, Nick is determined to stay in the city he loves and rebuild his life from the ground up.
