Help Nick Nichols' Family After Tragic Loss

Please help! My name is Julie and I am trying to raise funds for Nick Nichols and our family. Nick was diagnosed with cancer and he suffered for months as it just got worse and worse, not being able to eat and waiting for calls from drs and then finally getting a biopsy after months of waiting for a real diagnosis of what kind of cancer he was dealing with. He was even turned away at sacred heart to do the biopsy as an emergency. So he waited more days till his appt and ended up at the ER for heart issues and had to get his heart shocked for it to slow down. It was attacking his esophagus then messing with his heart and then his lungs. He got a stent put in a week ago to maybe get some food in him so he could get stronger since he was so weak and tired from not eating for so long. He also wasn’t able to hardly work and not work at all for weeks. After the stent placement his feet swelled and he just started spitting blood all week. Drs just kept not calling him or telling him he’s on the list to get scheduled at the cancer center so he waits. He finally gets one good meal in him and able to eat pancakes and was so happy felt so good, there was hope I thought. The next early morning he was in tears and was having trouble breathing, then everything went downhill from there. We learned he had a GI bleed and blockage in stent. The dr at hospital tried to find out what this blockage was and also found blood in lungs that sent his heart into cardiac arrest, his heart had given out and was just too weak to come back. I am trying to raise 3000 for his cremation and memorial expenses and to help with family expenses for the first month at least. He didn’t have any insurance and was not working or getting any help financially. He left behind our 2 children a 6 yr old boy and a 3 yr old girl. He was such a wonderful dad and loved our children more than anything. He would do anything for our kids. He was there hero, my friend, my love for so many years. I would appreciate any assistance we can get. We are all devastated by this.
