Help Nick Miller in critical coma with bacterial meningitis

Donation protected
We are friends of Nick Miller, who has been in a coma since 23 July after contracting bacterial meningitis – a serious and life-threatening illness.

Nick underwent emergency surgery at The Alfred hospital, where he remains in intensive care with a severe brain infection. His doctors say it is too early to predict an outcome.

The good news is that treatment is ongoing, and there is hope. But his condition is critical and complex.

It will be a long road ahead for Nick and his family – his father, Chris; his sister, Louise, who has flown in from Sweden to be by his side; and his partner, Elise.

This unimaginable ordeal comes weeks after the loss of Nick’s mother, Robyn. Nick was hospitalised just days after her celebration of life.

This succession of tragedy has deeply affected Nick’s family.

Nick has a natural gift for bringing people together, and he’s been a part of so many of our lives. Many of you have asked how you can help – this fundraiser is one way to do that.

Funds will go directly to Nick’s family, who will decide how to use them depending on how things unfold. This may include ongoing expenses, as well as treatment and recovery costs.

While his family has stressed they do not want money for themselves, we hope the fundraiser can also ease their burden, allowing them to focus on being by his side.

Thank you for your support.
