Help Nick Matteo Rebuild After Tragic Loss

Hello all! My family and I are coming from a very vulnerable spot right now and asking for help for my grandfather, Nick Matteo. Some of you may have seen the story being highlighted on the news, but on Tuesday afternoon, a dump truck went through my grandfather's house in Woodbury Heights, NJ and did extensive and irreparable damage. Unfortunately, at this time the house has already been demolished taking everything he owns with it. Between my mom-mom's passing in 2022 and some health issues over the years, this house was all that he had. He truly had a guardian angel on his side, and he ultimately came out with minor damage. He is still recovering in the hospital and at this time we are unsure how long he will be there. Somehow, my mom-mom's urn survived unscathed. We are truly grateful that it was able to be returned to him.
Though the memories that we have made together in this house over the last 30+ years can never be erased, we could really use some help to get him back on his feet. The funds donated will be used to replace things that he needs more urgently such as clothes, his walkers and canes to assist his mobility, personal belongings that were lost in the devastation, and more long-term to help him establish a safe place to reside once the dust settles. We are truly grateful for everyone who has reached out already and offered their assistance.
