Help Nick Learn to Walk Again

Hi. My name is Chris Bauso and I'm helping to raise money for my uncle, Nick Bauso, who has been slowly but surely recovering from his bout with the Covid-19 virus. Back in March of 2020, just as the pandemic began its initial spread throughout much of the world, my uncle was among the first to be stricken with the illness. As an individual with pre-existing respiratory problems, the disease had hit him especially hard, forcing him onto a ventilator, forcing him into a medically induced coma for nearly six months. Out of everyone in his Covid ward, he was one of two people to have ultimately survived. Though medical professionals know much more about treating the virus now than they had originally, the damage to Nick's body had already been done. Still requiring a machine to breathe, he had eventually woken up to an altered world, unable to move, unable to speak, and barely able to form a coherent thought. He remains confined to a hospital bed to this day, but has since been removed from his ventilator, has since begun rehab therapy for his atrophied muscles, and is in good spirits.

However, we have recently learned that Nick's health insurance had not been covering his extended stay at the hospital since January 2021, and now we need your financial support. Our family needs your help to ensure Nick's steady road to recovery can continue unimpeded, without the stress of a looming hospital bill that grows higher each and every day. Help us help him learn to walk again so that he can return to living a normal, healthy life.
