On November 1, 2025, my husband Nick was in a bad traffic accident on his way home from work. Nick has been out of work since the accident and has injuries that are still requiring medical care. He has a small brain bleed that requires a follow-up with the neurosurgeon on November 25th. His left hand was injured and required 22 stitches, and he has to visit the wound care clinic at Covenant Hospital once a week due to the severity of the wound. He had stitches in his left ear, which have since been removed. He also has 3 fractures in his right foot. We spoke to the orthopedic surgeon on November 13th, and surgery is needed in order for Nick's foot to heal correctly. The surgery would require Nick to miss approximately 10 more weeks of work. Financially, missing another 10 weeks of work is not ideal.
