Help Nick Heal: Covering Medical and Living Costs

On August 1st, my son Nick was in an extremely bad accident which resulted in him being life-flighted to Presby Trauma Center. Nick was on an endotracheal tube (breathing tube) and had a chest tube in due to having a collapsed lung, which he remained on for 3 days. He has multiple fractures in his spine at C5, C6, C7, T12, and L1. He also has fractures on the right side of his face and surrounding his eye, along with a laceration on his forehead that was stitched closed. He has fractures in his left wrist that he had surgery on. Nick also had surgery to get pins and plates to repair the multiple pelvis fractures. Nick has multiple broken toes. He's no weight-bearing on his left side and will be in a brace from his neck to pelvis for at least 6 weeks.

With all his injuries, he's going to need extensive physical therapy and rehab, which means he'll be out of work until he's fully recovered. Unfortunately, Nick has no medical insurance at this time, so all these expenses are adding up. Nick's a single dad with 2 beautiful kids that rely on him. We plan on getting a hospital bed set up in my dining room for when he's able to come home, but with being on a fixed income myself, we'll need help with covering the cost of the medical bills and Nick's monthly bills while he recovers, which is where any and all donations will be put towards.

Nick is very grateful and thankful for all the thoughts and prayers being sent his way. He loves each and everyone that has reached out on his behalf. He's a stubborn but strong young man and will recover from this.
