Hey all,

I recently accepted a prestigious four week residency at Vermont Studio Center in March 2022 that will allow me the time and focus to complete my novel-in-progress. The residency came with a small grant, but it is not enough to cover all my costs. As many of you know, we just completed a move to Washington, D.C. and I will have to spend the four weeks in Vermont without an income. I will also have to pay tuition for the fellowship.

From the Vermont Studio Center Website : "A VSC residency provides artists and writers the time and space to focus on their creative practice in an inclusive, international community within a small Vermont village." I will spend my residency with several other writers and artists from all over the globe, sharing work, collaborating, but mostly working diligently at our own personal projects. I plan to spend at least 8 hours a day writing and editing my manuscript and, if all goes well, be at a good point to send it out to publishers and agents by the end of my stay. I'm not one to ask for financial help, but this residency would be ideal for my writing practice and my professional development as a writer.
