Help Nick Fight Cancer Round 2

In 2019, at the age of 24, my brother Nick was diagnosed with a cancerous mass which was surgically removed. The doctor’s treatment plan was to keep watch and do quarterly check-ups. My brother began to grow in debt from unpaid medical bills that he could not afford. 

In March 2020, he lost his job due to the pandemic and was left unemployed. We were unable to afford his check-ups and went for two check-ups a year. He finally was able to get back on his feet and begin a new job. Unfortunately, he began to feel some left side pain. His bloodwork and CAT scan confirmed his cancer has returned.

My brother has been diagnosed with 2 tumors on the left side of his body in the kidney region. He will have to go through chemotherapy and subsequently cryopreservation, as well as numerous tests. We also cannot rule out surgery at the end of this. On December 11th, he will have to have surgery to place a port for chemotherapy and on December 14th he will begin his first 4 rounds of treatment. The bills are already racking up and the treatment hasn’t even begun yet, plus he still has the debt from the previous surgery.

If you know me, my family, or my brother you know we are not people to ask for help. With that being said it is time we lean in to our friends, family, and community to ask for as much help as you can offer. The bills will far surpass our goal, but again anything helps. My brother is my best friend, my rock and unfortunately he his having to fight this unimaginable fight. I wish I could take this pain and heartache away, but I can’t so Iam trying to at least help to relinquish some of his burden. I ask that you stand with him and I to help him through this tough time.
