My son Nick had a ruptured appendix and had a 24-day stay in the hospital. Nick is not employed and could use some help meeting his out-of-pocket deductible so his insurance will pay 100%. I am trying to help him as much as I can, but this is a lot of money that we really don’t have. I am a disabled veteran and looking to retire this year.
