Our dear friend and beloved tennis pro Nick Cote has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This diagnosis has come suddenly and at a time when Nick and Linda were beginning to plan for their retirement—still very much relying on his day-to-day work as an independent tennis coach to support his family. Like so many self-employed individuals, if he cannot work, he does not get paid.
For years, he has poured his heart into our community—especially our local tennis community, where he has coached, mentored, encouraged, and inspired countless players of all ages. Tennis has never been “just a job” for him; it’s been a way to build confidence, discipline, and joy in others. He has always shown up with patience, generosity, and a deep care for the people he teaches.
Beyond the courts, he is a man of deep faith and service. He is actively involved in our local Catholic church, American Martyrs, and has dedicated time to mission trips to Guatemala, serving others with humility and compassion. He has spent his life giving—his time, his talents, his faith, and his heart—to others.
Now, he is facing the fight of his life.
Tuesday, January 13th Nick begins chemotherapy and cancer treatment. The toll of the treatment will impact his ability to teach tennis and put a strain on the family financially.
We are asking for help to support his family as they navigates these changes. Giving them the opportunity to focus on healing. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give, we ask for your prayers, love, and sharing of this page.
This is our opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to all of us. Thank you for standing with him, surrounding him with faith, hope, and generosity.
