I have a great friend Nick Chaney a Veteran of the Iraq war that was in a bad wreck Wednesday morning September 2nd. After the wreck his training kicked in while he was pinned in his work truck for 40 + min bleeding out of his legs he with the help of some people who stopped to help applied a makeshift tourniquet out of a ratchet strap to try and stop the bleeding. After he was cut out of the truck he was life flighted to IU Methodist   hospital in Indianapolis. He had surgery all day Wednesday trying to stop the bleeding in his lower extremities. The hospital had to give him 7 units of blood. He has to make a major decision by Tuesday of trying to endure the years and years of surgery to try and save his left leg or to amputate it. The surgeon is pushing to amputate it below the knee. The right leg should be good. He broke his fingers and some other bones and is bruised through his whole body. His wife had not posted anything on social media maybe for privacy reasons or hasn’t had time dealing with all this and trying to take care of the needs of their three beautiful girls. I set up this fund me account for him and his family to cover their expenses while in the hospital and out of work. They do not know about it. I hope we can all help them out. He needs some positive thoughts and prayers. Nick is under going more surgery today Friday September 5. He has a very long road to recovery. This shows you how fast life can change. I hope that together my friends and family can raise just a little bit of money to help this family. They need us.
