Please help Nick Caruso & his family on his journey to get a new heart!

As many of you know, our brother Nick Caruso has been been in a strenuous battle against heart failure for over 5 years. Sadly, after years of procedures, medications and hospital stays he now needs a full heart transplant. He is currently at Columbia Presbyterian hospital in NYC on the transplant list awaiting a heart, far from his friends and family, which is expected to be a very lengthy stay.

Nick is a loving husband to his wife Lainee and to his two children Lucy (9) and Rocco (5). Nick has been a friend to many in the Homer/Cortland community his whole life as a Homer HS graduate of 2005 and through working at his family's local businesses. As an avid life-long sports fan, specifically football and basketball, he wants nothing more than to heal so that he can return to playing with his kids and playing pick up games with his friends.

This fundraiser will not only help Nick and his family with the costs of the extremely expensive heart transplant and medical care while he waits, but also with travel and living expenses so that his family can spend time by his side as often as possible. His hospital in NYC is about a 4 hour drive from his family home in Homer.

For anyone interested we will also be holding a benefit for Nick on August 2nd, 1-5 at the Elks Lodge in Homer. More details to come.
