Get Nick & Archie Home for Christmas!

My name is Sherry and this is an emergency fundraiser for my old friend Nick and his devoted feline companion, Archie. They are currently living in Calgary, Alberta and urgently need your help.

I want to get Nick (and Archie) back to the UK, preferably in time for Christmas and/or before any new Coronavirus lockdowns or restrictions come into effect. So we need immediate help!

Nick has had a very tough time of it over the last few years.

Able-bodied and active throughout his life, he was recently struck down by illness, which has also triggered past injuries. This has left him unable to work and in near constant pain. His unemployment benefits have ended, with no future assistance or support offered. And then worst of all, he suffered the loss of his beloved wife in a sudden and horrific tragedy.

Devastated by this bereavement, and wrestling with his worsening health and lack of income, Nick decided to return to the UK (where he is originally from) to be closer to his family.

And that is when the pandemic struck and the world went into lockdown.

Now unable to travel, Nick was forced to use his remaining savings to cover necessities like rent, food, heat and medical expenses while he waited for restrictions to lift. But the virus dragged on, weeks became months, and soon his funds were depleted.

With no new income, nothing left in the bank and no Government support, Nick was forced to sell everything he had of value just to keep going. This included his most prized possession: a rare Triumph motorcycle he had rebuilt years before.

But now there is nothing left. Without immediate help, Nick and Archie will become homeless in December.

That can’t happen!

Nick is kind, generous and outgoing, and desperately needs help. Friends like me are not in a position to offer much, but that is why crowdfunding is such a blessing: One person donating a few bucks won't make much of a difference. But MANY people offering a little bit, will give Nick and Archie a real chance!

So if you are reading this - and if you are able - please, please donate to this fund. Any amount is welcome. Big or small. It won’t take a lot. But it will literally mean the difference between Nick and Archie being safely at home with family this holiday season, or being homeless on the streets of Calgary in the dead of winter.

Sometimes we all need a helping hand to pull us out of the well of despair. Nick really, really needs that hand now. He cannot keep going without it.
