On June 12th, Nick and Vicki’s beloved Chicago apartment in Ukrainian Village caught fire from a neighboring building. As many of you know, this apartment has carried Vicki and Nick through many stages of their lives already. Vicki first invested in this space as a young woman, hosting friends and growing into home ownership. With time, Nick also called this apartment home and the pair married. Most recently, Nick and Vicki rescued Grace, a young pit bull needing a home with patient and compassionate caretakers. Most days their apartment doubled as a workspace and a gathering location for many friends and family. Today, the couple is expecting their first baby in November, but are most grateful for their safety and well being after this extra-alarm fire damaged their home beyond livability and burned cherished belongings.

This fund will help my brother Nick and my sister in law Vicki rebuild. Urgently, Nick and Vicki need basic necessities like clothes. As for the near future, the expecting parents need more support than anticipated for their growing family.
