Help Nick and Steph Board through this tough time
Donation protected
Hey everyone! I’m fundraising to help our friends get through this tough time while Nick is in the hospital recovering from his horrible jet ski accident and the upcoming months of healing and getting him on his feet.
On Friday, June 14th, Nick was out with friends and got into a bad accident and had to be rescued by the Coast Guard. He has a broken shoulder, broken pelvic bone, broken ribs, ruptured spleen and kidney his blood pressure is so low he’s had 3 blood transfusions already. Bleeding internally and Is gonna need surgery again and it’s gonna be a long road to recovery. Anything you can give to help them out is deeply appreciated. Steph is on summer break from school and there by Nick’s side and he will be out of work for a while through his healing. I will keep you updated on his progress as it comes in.
UPDATE: June 24, 2024
We have some good news. They have reduced his oxygen intake again and it is down now from 70% to 50% (this means the machines are breathing for him at half compacity and he is breathing the other half on his own) and they have taken him off the extra gas he needed to breathe. Nick has asthma and the amount of blood fluid and water in his lungs have been a challenge for them to get out even with the ventilation and the chest tube. Hoping this continues so they are able to take him off the ventilator. They still have him heavily sedated so that he can heal and isn’t so anxious. He has so many machines on him and they have him restrained to the bed. This is just the beginning for him. We can only pray and wait. Before nick had the breathing tube inserted he was able to talk and asked only a handful of ppl be able to visit. For now to reduce the risk of infection and for him to rest and heal the drs also advise for him not to have many visitors. His wife Stephanie will let everyone know when.
