Help Nick and Nichole Through This Crisis

My name is Sandra Wryals of LaBelle, Florida. I have always and continue to love and care for my family, church family, and friends. God and family are so important to me. That is why it touched my heart to reach out to GoFundMe for my niece, Debra Nichole Henry and her husband, Nick Henry, on this day of April 20, 2026.

On Monday, April 6, 2026, Nick wasn’t feeling well and went to see his doctor. After evaluating Nick, the doctor sent him to the hospital for tests. While at the hospital, Nick had many blood tests, x-rays, and other tests. At that time, Nick and Nichole were told that he was diagnosed with liver disease, which was shocking news, but that his condition is so bad, they told them that if Nick didn’t get a liver transplant, he had a 50% chance of living three months. There was nothing else that this hospital could do for Nick. They suggested he go to a hospital in Tampa (Tampa General Hospital) that specializes in organ transplants.

That began a life-changing dramatic medical journey in both of their lives. Before this, Nick (38 years old) and Nichole both worked, paying their rent and other normal expenses. For now, Nick is blessed to have insurance from his work. They also enjoyed their life with family and friends. So, Wednesday evening, April 8, 2026, Nick and Nichole went home to pack a suitcase and say goodbye to family that gathered at their house. They got to Tampa Hospital around 1:00 am on April 9, 2026, hoping and praying he could get the help he needed. At the time of my letter, Nick and Nichole have been in Tampa for twelve days.

I am asking for GoFundMe help because Nichole has been in Tampa with Nick as he goes through a multitude of tests that help doctors get him on the transplant list, and praying for the miracle he needs. The recent test results showed that Nick is too sick to go home while waiting for the liver transplant, and his current MELD score shows without the liver transplant he has a 98% chance of fatality before 90 days. The doctors told them that Nick will probably be in Tampa for 4-6 weeks after the surgery. At this time, Nichole has not been able to get to work, and they have no income to help with their living expenses, such as rent, electric, gas for her vehicle, water bills, and food while she is with Nick.

I know that Nick, Nichole, and family will be very grateful and thankful for any donation given to help them at this time of need. May God bless.

Sincerely,
Sandra Wryals
