As you all know, the last few years have presented several challenges to our dear friends Nick and Maggie Lyons-Macfarlane. They are two incredible individuals who consistently meet challenges with solutions, and uphold their community.

This month they were presented with a challenging choice regarding Maggie’s health. A riskier option with less financial impact or a hopeful option with greater financial impact. No one should have to opt out of best treatment options due to financial concerns. The best option for Maggie includes a major operation requiring 5 days in hospital in Moncton followed by 6-8 weeks of recovery that will require community support. This will have significant financial, physical, as well as mental hardship on Nick and Maggie as they do not qualify for assistance through support organizations.

While Maggie is awaiting their surgery date, let’s show our support by removing financial stress – as they would for us if we were in need. Donations will be used for hotel accommodations and travel costs to and from Moncton and to assist with lost wages during the recovery period.
