Help Nick and Family Through Challenging Times
Donation protected
So Nick is 18 and lost both of his parents a year apart and has no immediate next of kin. His mother’s best friend Katie promised not to let him go into the system so her and her fiancé Scott took in Nick when his mother was hospitalized for the last time until her passing. Nick since then has been diagnosed with the same rare gene his mother had that took her life called von- hippel lindau disease. He will possibly grow tumors on 8 major organs in his body and if they are cancerous do chemo and or radiation and have them surgically removed. If they arent they will still remove them, but with this rare disease they will grow back. Nick will spend alot of time in and out of the doctors and hospitals but they were blessed to be referred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis where they have specialist for this rare disease. The trips will be long and hard on them and Scott and Katie will miss work often to be with Nick through the upcoming years. Nick is very loved and completely supported by us all and we are asking if you would like to donate to their trips whether it be for food gas or anything Nick may need with his insurance being cut off next August it will be greatly appreciated. All donations will be used solely for Nick and anything he may need to be as comfortable as possible during these times and to help cover any bills that may not be covered by his current insurance and also gas and food for their trips. The family would like to thank you in advance for all your love and support and if nothing else they are asking for everyone to please pray for them at this time. So far his kidneys are covered, he has scoliosis, sciatica and kidney stones ( which he will deal with more often than normal people because of the disease) so he stays in 24 hour pain that nothing really helps. Please keep them in your prayers as they head to Memphis this morning to St. Jude to see if there are more anywhere else in his body and what next steps will be. You may send donations to

Thanks in advance.
