Help Nick and Carisa Grow Their Pierogi Business!

Hi There!
We are Nick and Carisa, owners of The Bare Naked Pole LLC. We are a Polish Food pop up currently serving Pierogi and other Polish goodies at The Mission Control Arcade Bar in Rogers Park. However, our time there will be coming to an end this month and we need your help as we make our transition to the next phase of our business!
Last December, Carisa and I were suffering from unemployment due to the pandemic. After months of waiting for the nightmare to come to an end, we decided to take action and use something that was bringing us the most joy (cooking delicious food for each other) and try to share it with our community. I made a giant batch of Pierogi and offered to deliver them for free to anyone who wanted some. To my surprise, the entire batch was claimed before the night was over! It made me realize how much of a passion I had for feeding people. Thus, The Bare Naked Pole was born and we haven't looked back since! It's been a wild year of learning how to run a business and growing it literally from nothing, and we are super excited for what's to come in the near future.
In 2022, we want to transition our focus from fast service food to establishing a presence at Farmer's Markets, Street Fairs, Catering Events, and Boutique Pop-Ups. To do that, we need to scale up production quickly, as the entire business is still just me and Carisa. This is where you come in! We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help purchase the necessary equipment, licensing, and space that will make our dream a reality. With that money, we will be able to buy:
- A Dough Sheeter ($1,800-$4,000)
- A Planetary Mixer ($1,300-$3,000)
- Freezer Storage ($500-$1,000)
- Rent for Kitchen Space ($800-$1,200/month)
- A Shared Kitchen User's License ($300)
- Tent, Banners, & Other equipment for Farmer's Markets ($700-$1,000)
- Other Commercial Kitchen Equipment
- Hiring Part Time Employees
- Other Signage and Social Media Ads
