I’m Nichole’s Dad in law and Nichole and my son Adam lost their home to a fire this morning. All they know is that it started due to electrical malfunction in their mechanical room in the basement. “I've been wanting to post but I'm lost for words. It's been a tragic day, but I'm so very thankful for the timing and what could have happened. I NEVER thought this would happen to us. Thank GOD for smoke alarms, for the firefighters, first responders, for Bridger who was home alone this morning and took immediate action, and for grandparents right next door who called to report my house on fire!!! Thank you to my friends, family and coworkers for helping us. I don't know where to start, but it's gonna be a long 2026 as we restore even possibly rebuild. It's been a very emotional day. This house was only 9 years old. A fire investigator will be looking into the exact cause, but we know it was electrical and started in the basement. Everyone is safe including Finn. Tinleys cat Snickers did not make it. Thanks first responders to try and save her. She just got a fresh manicure last night for her heavenly trip. Rip. .”

Our kids lost everything. Furniture, clothing, memories, bedding, medications, food, dishes, utensils, toys…….can you even imagine losing all you own in one day? I can’t. The Red Cross stepped up this afternoon and gave them $200 for food but not much more can happen until the adjusters and insurance company approve a claim. That said, they would never ask for help or start a fundraiser on their own but I’m their Dad and I’m asking for help. Whether it be prayers, clothing, food, or financial assistance anything would lift their spirits and give them hope. Your support can be anonymous or you can reach out directly or you can pray.
