Here We Go:
Hi, I'm Freddie Kimmel, and I'm reaching out to support my friend Nicolas Dromard in his battle against Squamous Cell Carcinoma. I've known Nic since 2003 when we first met at the Arkansas Repertory Theater during a production of Gypsy, and our friendship has spanned two decades.
From the moment I witnessed Nic dance and sing, I was captivated by his natural talent and charismatic stage presence. A true quadruple threat, he excels in singing, dancing, acting, and playing multiple musical instruments with equal brilliance. Those acquainted with Nic have experienced his boundless kindness, professionalism, infectious joy, and ability to light up a room with laughter (whether speaking in French or English!) ❤️

As an artist of our times, Nic has graced Broadway stages in productions like Oklahoma, Mary Poppins, Jersey Boys, and The Boy from Oz. I've witnessed him pour his heart and soul into every performance, giving his all to the Broadway stage.
Beyond his artistic achievements, I've seen Nic find the love of his life in Desiree Davar and witnessed the expansion of their family with their baby, "Z" (Zelia). In recent years, Nic and Desi have made their living performing their two-person act worldwide. However, the surgeries he has undergone have impacted his tongue and speech. Although a full recovery is expected, he is now facing extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments currently underway.
I understand that when artists can't perform, basic living expenses become challenging. That's why I've started this GoFundMe to assist with Nic's medical expenses, food, and complementary treatments over the next six months, aiming to get him back on stage as soon as possible and support their family.

I'll share some magical videos and images of Nic's performances below. Please contribute if you feel moved to do so, and thank you for visiting this page.
Drawing on my experience as a cancer survivor, I know it takes a village. I'm reaching out to everyone who has experienced the magic of "Superheroes in Love," Nic and Desi's performances, his Broadway shows, and those moments in life where you've felt his authentic kindness. Your support means the world.
Big Love,
Freddie Kimmel
From Nic
In the midst of life's symphony, a subtle tickle in my throat emerged in late June. What seemed trivial evolved into a profound discovery—a swollen lymph node, an irregularity in my tongue. A journey into the medical realm ensued, with an ominous "probably cancer" echoing through the corridors.
Diagnosis
The biopsy confirmed Squamous Cell Carcinoma, marked by the P16+ indicator, revealing its origins in HPV. A decision was made, guided by discussions with oncologists and surgeons, leading to surgery as the chosen path. A week later, the surgeon's report painted a nuanced picture—success in removing the cancer, yet hints of infiltration in lymph nodes.
Treatment
Life pivoted, and the aftermath unveiled a need for radiation and chemotherapy. A quest for healing began this Monday, a six-week journey, intense and preemptive, driven by my age and the determination not to let this cancer return.
The toll, however, extends beyond the medical realm. Financial strains mounted as concerts were canceled, and four weeks post-surgery, my voice, my instrument, rests at 40%, a source of frustration for a not-so-patient performer.

This is not just a medical chronicle; it's a testament to resilience, love, and the intricate dance between life's highs and lows. This experience is one I will move through and be back better than ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you for any support you may offer in our time of need.
With Deep Gratitude,
Nicolas
