A Community Fight Born From a Mother’s Trauma, a Child’s Fear, and a Father’s Refusal to Be Silenced

My name is Nicholas Carrozza , and for more than a year, my family has been fighting through a nightmare that began on July 7, 2024 — a nightmare made worse, not by the crash alone, but by the way the people sworn to protect us handled it afterward.

That day, the mother of my son was driving with our child in the car when another driver — traveling 90 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone, crossing the double yellow line, and coming around a bend — struck them head-on.

The crash left her with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that ended her nursing career and permanently changed the course of her life. It left our son traumatized and robbed of the mother he once knew. And it set off a chain of events that cost both of us our livelihoods, our stability, and ultimately our home.

And instead of accountability, transparency, and support…

we were met with stonewalling, retaliation, and attempted cover-ups.

This has become far more than a crash.
This is now a civil-rights battle , a police corruption fight , and a documented retaliation case that I am prepared to take all the way to the finish line.

A Mother’s Life Forever Changed

The head-on collision caused a significant traumat ic brain injury — the kind of injury that changes everything:

• Her memory
• Her processing
• Her emotional stability
• Her ability to work
• Her ability to function as she once did

She did not just lose a job —
she lost her career as a nurse, something she worked years to build.

And while she struggled to recover physically and neurologically, I struggled to keep our lives together — and I lost my own income due to the circumstances created by the accident and the chaos that followed.

Two parents.
Two incomes.

Gone because of a crash that was never properly investigated, and a system that went out of its way to protect the wrong person.

A Home Lost, a Car Mishandled, and a System That Failed Us

Because both of us were unable to work:

• Our home went into foreclosure.
• The vehicle from the crash was never properly returned to insurance, trapping us in a bureaucratic limbo.
• Basic protections for victims were ignored, delayed, or mishandled.

Instead of help, we got obstacles.
Instead of support, we got silence.

A Child Forever Affected by What Happened That Day

Our son was in the car during the head-on collision.
He felt the impact.
He lived it.
And he watched his mother’s life change in front of him.

Since the accident, he can no longer engage with her the way he once did. The TBI has created limitations that alter:

• How they interact
• How they communicate
• How she cares for him

He didn’t just lose a routine —
he lost a version of his mother that the crash took away.

And that is something no child should ever have to experience.

Instead of Accountability, the Township Retaliated

When I began asking questions:

• Why wasn’t the crash investigated properly?
• Why were reports delayed?
• Why were commissioners kept from reviewing evidence?
• Why were facts not lining up with the physical reality of a 90-mph head-on collision?

I was met with:

• Contradictions
• Defensive stonewalling
• Withheld documents
• Sudden shifts in narrative
• And eventually the Pennsylvania Attorney General stepping into the picture

Not because I did something wrong —
but because I refused to let them bury the truth of what happened to the mother of my son and to my family.

This became a retaliation campaign, plain and simple.

A Fully Documented Retaliation Timeline

Every step of this — from July 13, 2024, when an honest officer privately told me something was wrong with how the crash was handled, to internal emails contradicting public statements, to the attempted silencing — is documented.

I have kept:

Meetings
• Emails
• Phone conversations
• Public comments
• Court actions
• Contradictions between statements and records

This is not a theory.
This is a paper trail.

This Fight Is Ongoing — and I Will Finish It

This GoFundMe is not for a one-time legal bill.

This is a long-term battle that will continue for months — possibly years.

Your support will help cover:

• Legal defense
• Civil rights litigation
• Transcripts and public records
• Expert analysis of the crash and investigation
• Document production
• Travel and documentation
• Ongoing retaliation-related costs

This isn’t just for us.

This is for every family who deserves honesty, transparency, and protection.

I am committed to seeing this fight through, no matter how long it takes.

I am committed to clearing the truth.

I am committed to justice for the mother of my son, for our child, and for every citizen watching this unfold.
