Early Saturday morning, Nicholas Benge’s life changed forever. A devastating house fire destroyed everything he owned and loved. His mother, Regina—his best friend and constant support—was unable to escape and tragically lost her life in the fire. Nicholas’s beloved pets are still missing, and to the best of our knowledge, have not been found. In his desperate attempt to save his mother, Nicholas suffered smoke inhalation and second degree burns and is now hospitalized, facing a long road to recovery.

The physical pain is immense, but the emotional and spiritual wounds are even deeper. Nicholas has lost not only his home and possessions, but also the people and pets who meant the world to him.

Any funds donated will go directly to Nicholas to help bury his mother, Regina, and to assist with his mounting medical bills. He will also need help replacing clothing and personal items, as so much has been lost that can never be replaced. Our hope is to help Nicholas regain some sense of normalcy and show him that he is not alone in this journey.
