Help Nicci & her kids survive her divorce

I'm Nicci's sister, Brekke. I'm starting this fund raiser to help her out during a very difficult divorce. Many people have asked how they can help, and donating to Nicci and her kids here would go a long way.

Nicci got her Masters and teaching license when her soon-to-be-ex was out of a job. Once he got a job that provided for the family, she stayed home to care for her kids too young to be in school. Then her still-husband cut her off from his income.

Nicci has to hope he'll pick up groceries and pay the bills. For some time the only working vehicle was being used by him, and she spent weeks unable to leave her house. Nicci had to sell whatever she could to be able to afford to get her van fixed. Her van needs to be fixed again, and she doesn't have the money for it. Her ex does not provide anything for holidays for the kids. Nicci had to spend what little she had in February to get the kids valentines for school so they didn't go without.

This week Nicci found out the bills to the bank were not being paid, and her house is close to foreclosure. She had no choice but to pay them with the little money she has for divorce lawyers. She can't afford to keep a vehicle running that she has access to in case of an emergency. She can't afford to give the kids a basic Easter. She can't afford to refill the fridge if her ex doesn't get groceries.

Nicci has been applying for any jobs she can, but none have been near enough to home. She is running a homestead, selling crafts at markets, and doing whatever she can to make money.

Anything raised here on GoFundMe is for Nicci. It will be used to pay for household bills, the children's needs, groceries, and lawyer fees. Anything that Nicci needs to survive. She is running a household with no help and virtually no income. Nicci struggles to know what to say on the spot when people ask what they can do to help her.
