Hi, my name is Nica’ Joyner.

I am a proud first-generation college student at Johnson & Wales University, working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. Cooking has always been more than just food for me—it’s my way of expressing love, creativity, and culture. My dream is to become a chef who not only masters the craft but also inspires others who, like me, come from humble beginnings. This journey hasn’t been easy.

Now, I am so close to the finish line. This is my very last semester on campus, but financial challenges threaten to keep me from completing what I started. Despite working hard and applying for every opportunity I can, the remaining costs of tuition and fees are more than I can cover on my own.

That’s why I am reaching out and asking for your support. Any contribution—big or small—brings me one step closer to walking across that stage, degree in hand. It’s not just about me earning a diploma; it’s about breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and showing others that it is possible.
