Help Nib with Throat Cancer Expenses
Donation protected
A lot of us have known and loved Nib for a long time, but not everyone has known the struggles he has been through for the last couple years. That's because Nib is humble and he's self-supporting. He keeps things on the down low / need to know basis. Sure, he has a personality as big as Texas. Humble might not always be the word that comes to mind. But behind the scenes, Nib rarely complains, he rarely asks for help, and he tries to help others without getting caught.
He suspected something was wrong. He was tired. His voice was getting worse. He couldn't breathe. And at his biopsy yesterday, they discovered a large mass and admitted him to the ICU with a tracheotomy.
When asked this morning how he was feeling, he responded, "Emotional." This is taking its toll on him physically, emotionally, spiritually. He knows he likely has a long journey ahead of him and he is going to need help with money for co-pays, rent, and other living expenses. He doesn't like to ask for help, so I'm asking for him. This is a man who has helped so many, be it with a meal, a shoulder to cry on, a completely inappropriate joke, or his experience, strength and hope in conquering a seemingly hopeless state of mind.
Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus he cannot have visitors at this time, but I will be sure he gets to read any and all comments, so even if you cannot donate financially, please be sure to leave your words of encouragement and your prayers.

This is Nib being self-supporting. I know for me, personally, he once patched a giant hole in my wall at 7:30 am because my washer/dryer was about be delivered in 30 minutes and the person who was supposed to fix it flaked on me. That's just how he is. And just like the time he got the dead opossum out of my car. And just like the time he brought me gas when I ran out in a busy intersection during rush hour. And on and on and on.
