Hello, my name is Nia-Lee, and this is my story. I am a proud Black lesbian of New York, a retired multisport athlete, bookworm, and video game and art fanatic.
I have never backed down from standing in my character and identity and that is something I hope to carry with me throughout my life. As a queer Black person, I have many stories about my lived experience and have been a firsthand witness and victim of abuse, prejudice, and judgement. Unfortunately, within the past few months and weeks, my financial and residential circumstances have changed drastically, leaving me to bear the sole financial burden of my education and living situation. I was recently transgressed in workplace and as a result, I had/have to quickly find a new job so I can not only support myself but also pay for rent, necessities, and school.
From being kicked out of my parent’s house and having to leave, to my workplace transgression, I was swiftly thrust into this position without any help. I am in dire need of support to get me through and across the finish line for LPN school and secure my license, be able to have a place to stay, and have basic necessities for everyday life. Presently, my need is $26,000. Every cent raised will go directly towards my bill for LPN school, rent, and all of my newfound financial expenses.
I am thankful to everyone who has read this far and is willing to share, donate, or support me. Every dollar counts! I am eternally grateful to any and everyone who supports me. Thank you again!!
