I have two wonderful 7-year-old Aussie and Border Collie mix dogs who have been together since birth. They are lifelong friends and have brought so much joy and companionship into my life. Last fall, I opened my home to a young man and his pets after he suddenly became homeless. I didn’t know him personally, but he was a friend of a friend and clearly needed help. He had an intact male puppy, and with winter approaching, I knew I couldn’t let them face the cold alone. I never imagined that my act of kindness would have such unexpected consequences for my own pets.
While the guest and his pets stayed with me for over six months, I noticed changes in NiaCu, one of my dogs. The presence of the new male dog caused a hormonal shift in NiaCu, leading to the rapid development of anal sac tumors. These tumors have grown quickly and are now in a difficult spot, making surgery both urgent and risky. Without removal, the tumors will continue to grow, and the risk of them becoming cancerous increases every day. I have already spent a significant amount on vet bills and will continue to cover ongoing care, but the cost of the surgery itself is more than I can manage alone.
NiaCu has been my world for seven years. His name means the fusion of the force and spirit world, and he truly lives up to it. We have faced so many challenges together, and I can’t imagine losing him when there is still hope. The funds raised will go directly toward the surgery that could save his life. Please help NiaCu get the chance he deserves to keep living a happy, healthy life. Your support means everything to us, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can give. Thank you so much!
