Hi, my name is Nia, and I’m a mother of two raising funds after a severe storm/tornado caused a massive tree to fall onto my home and vehicle.

Thankfully, my children and I are safe, but my Jeep was directly underneath the tree and sustained significant damage, and the tree also damaged my home and porch.

I’ve already contacted Allstate regarding my vehicle, my homeowners insurance regarding the property damage, and the city regarding tree removal. Right now, I’m waiting for the full extent of the damage to be assessed and to find out what insurance will and will not cover.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m usually the last person to ask for help , but several people encouraged me to create this fundraiser. I’m raising $8,000 to help with insurance deductibles, transportation, cleanup, repairs, and other unexpected expenses that may not be covered while everything is being sorted out.

Having my home and transportation affected at the same time has been overwhelming, especially with two children depending on me, but I’m grateful that we are safe.
