We’re Michael and Iryna, Neyo’s dad and stepmother. We’re raising funds to support 14-year-old Neyo and his family as he undergoes assessment for a lung transplant.

Neyo lives in Manitoba and has bronchiectasis and asthma. Breathing has become increasingly difficult, and he now needs oxygen every day, including when he attends school.

Watching someone you love struggle to breathe is heartbreaking. We want to help give Neyo the chance to breathe more easily, spend time with his family, and enjoy being a teenager.

His transplant assessment is underway, and we are preparing for him and his mother to relocate to Toronto for what could be a year, depending on his treatment and recovery. His mother will be by his side throughout this journey.

We are contributing everything we can, but supporting the family across two provinces brings costs beyond what we can manage alone. That is why we are asking for help.

Your donation will help us to cover:

• Travel to and from Toronto for assessments, treatment, and follow-up appointments, including necessary baggage and airport transportation.

• Accommodation costs or fees during the time Neyo needs to stay close to his treatment team, where these are not covered by assistance programs.

• Groceries and meals for Neyo and his mother throughout their stay, including food during long hospital days.

• Local transportation to hospital appointments, tests, and follow-up visits.

• Medications, medical supplies, and care-related expenses that are not covered by provincial coverage or other assistance.

• Daily necessities such as laundry, toiletries, and phone service so they can stay connected with family and coordinate Neyo’s care.

• Unexpected expenses if their stay is extended or Neyo’s care needs change.

We are exploring available assistance and will update this page as Neyo’s treatment plan, timing, and expenses become clearer.
