Help New York Bagel Cafe In Sherman Oaks Survive
New York Bagel Café has been a community haven for families, children, creatives, meet up groups and many more since 2015. We created a place for musicians to introduce their art and share their magic. The pandemic shut us down for 6 months. Now we are threatened of being shut down and need assistance to make through this scary time. We applied for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, but like 63% of our industry - we did not receive the financial aid. Now we turn to you and our universe to help us in this time of need.
We've always had an open arms policy for everyone that walks through our doors. It has always been our hope to make everyone feel like
family. Currently we are on the brink of being shut down, because of back rent and accrued debt due to the unfortunate circumstances of
the pandemic. We have used the majority of our PPP to ensure that our staff is employed and support their challenges through this
pandemic, despite our own financial challenges. While we wait for government financial relief we find ourselves in dire straits.
Here at NYBC we believe that regardless of what you have in your pocket you always have the ability to help someone, for two reasons only: because you want to and because you can!
We've had long standing community programs such as donating bagels 4 times a week to breakfast programs for kids.
At NYBC we helped a young girl named Annabelle and her family raise money to help with medical treatment.
NYBC was recognized by Costco for our donations to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
We have also donated to the LoveMyNeighborFoundation supporting our local homeless shelter.
As a last resort in these difficult times we are turning to the family we have built within our community to help us stay afloat. We fully understand the collective stress of these times and any amount of donation would help us go a long way.
