100% of the donations (less the GoFundMe fees) will be used to help New Haven eateries and restaurant workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic while providing support for hospital workers, police, and firefighters working on the front lines in New Haven.
The hospital workers, police and firefighters have always been there for the residents and businesses of New Haven. This is an opportunity for New Haven residents AND businesses to show their support for the first responders.

About this Campaign
Who are the People Behind this Effort? All volunteers: Cynthia Savo, Johnny Carlson, Christa Rotolo, and Anne Sommer. We need more volunteers. Please join us!
Why Food Establishments? For the time being the campaign will focus on food establishments because those establishments face the prospect of having to lay off staff. We will revisit this decision as events unfold.
Why hospital workers, police, and firefighters? These folks provide the MOST essential services at this time. We will revisit this decision as events unfold.
Do we Need to Hit the Goal before Funds are Released? No. GoFundMe has already started releasing funds.
Why Such a Large Goal? (1) The need is large (2) We're asking businesses to donate as well.

Will you be able to issue refunds? No
Relationship to Campaign’s Donation Recipients: No direct personal or financial relationship with any New Haven restaurant or essential service provider.
How will the Donations be Spent? 100% of the donations (less the GoFundMe fees) will be used to purchase food from New Haven restaurants to be delivered to New Haven working on the front lines.
How will Intended Recipients get the Donations? Volunteers will coordinate placing orders with restaurants, and restaurants will deliver the food.
