We have set up this Go Fund Me to raise funds to help the Millett Family with funeral and other expenses for our much loved Ms.Diane who died suddenly on Saturday July 19, 2025. Ms Diane had been part of our New Beginnings family for the past 18 years and was much loved by all the staff, parents, families and especially her ‘children’
Diane was someone we trusted, someone we depended on, someone who made work feel more human.
She showed up with reliability and quiet strength, not always in the best of health but determined to be here. She cared about people, not just outcomes, and that made all the difference.
She didn’t need to say much to leave an impact, her kindness spoke for her, and we all felt it. She was the kind of person who remembered birthdays, checked in when someone looked tired, and made time for everyone, and always, always had a kind word to say, especially to the children.
She helped create a culture of care, just by being herself
She leaves behind more than memories—She leaves behind warmth, compassion, and the ripple effect of every gentle thing she did.
She will be remembered for far more than what she did—she’ll be remembered for how she made us feel.
She should still be here.
We weren’t ready to say goodbye—not even close.
Her absence is sudden, and it cuts deep.
One moment, she was part of the day-to-day of New Beginnings.
The next, everything changed. And we’re still trying to make sense of it.
She made people feel seen and appreciated and her absence will be felt in every corner of our school—every routine that’s now missing her voice, every early morning drop off, every afternoon pick up, the children she worked with, and adored, in Room 6.
It’s hard to think about moving forward without her.
But we’ll carry her memory in the way we work, the way we treat each other, the way she showed us how to lead with compassion.
She left far too soon, but the impact she made in her time with us will last forever.
She will always be part of our story.
Thank you, Diane for your dedication, your laughter, and the countless ways—big and small—you made a difference.
New Beginnings will never be quite the same without you.
You weren’t just someone we worked with—you became like family.
We shared real life. We celebrated milestones, supported each other through hard times, and had conversations that went well beyond “How was your weekend?”
You were someone everyone trusted. You had a way of listening that made people feel safe, of showing up without making it a big deal.
There’s a comfort that comes with a friendship like that—and it’s what makes the loss feel even heavier now.
You were more than a colleague.
You were one of the good ones.
Ms. Diane, We love you very much.
Thank you for everything you did for all of us. We
