Help Nevenka Receive Life-Saving TIL Cancer Therapy

Dear friends, kind souls,

My name is Nevenka Mardešić, I am 61, mom of two boys, Ivor and Niki, and loving wife to Vedran. I believe in compassion, dedicating my life to promoting public health and human dignity in Split, Croatia, with at NGO HELP Split. Now I fight cancer and need your help!

After exhausting treatment options in Croatia, we must raise $75,000 to secure life-saving international treatment.

My fight against cancer

I am now facing one of life’s most difficult battles in metastatic melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer that has resisted all treatments available in Croatia. However, there is still hope!

I have been accepted for treatment at the Sheba Medical Centre in Israel to undergo Tumour-Infiltrating Lymphocyte therapy (TIL), a groundbreaking and highly promising immunotherapy treatment with very high success rates. Unfortunately, it is unavailable in Croatia and is not covered by our national health insurance.... While this gives me a real chance to stop the cancer effectively, the financial burden is immense.

My Funding goal

The estimated base cost of treatment ranges from $143,650 to $168,150 and, depending on my body's response, potentially higher.

I need to raise $75,000 to undergo this treatment and cover the necessary travel, hospital care, accommodation, and recovery. The payment is due by end of month.

My family will support me with all our resources. That is why our fundraising goal is below the total sum, but the nature of the sickness is such that we must act immediately, which is outside our means.
