Help Neveen's Family Survive Gaza Winter
Donation protected
My name is Nik, and I live in Chicago, IL. I am raising money for my friend Neveen El Hassanat, a young single mother of three children in the besieged Gaza Strip. We have been in touch since early 2024. She is now desperately in need of supplies for the cold winter. I will be collecting the money on her behalf and sending it to her directly. Please read her request below.
I am setting up this fundraiser as an urgent appeal to protect my family from freezing to death! While it is been a year since the genocide took place in the densely populated city of Gaza, almost everyone is living in a tragedy to find a shelter for their beloved ones, but tents would never be a powerful shield against the heavy Israeli rockets nor the soft drops of rain. As the weather is extremely cold due to the winter, many people literally sank into the muddy and sticky water. Many people froze to death. Many people got respiratory infections and died as a result.. for this, I don’t want to risk my children or myself from freezing to death.
This fundraiser is an emergency fund for renting a place for my children, buying winter clothes and supplies ( blankets/ mattresses) and providing two bags of flour as it is necessary for nutrition. The Rafah crossing has been sealed off for a long time, and my family and I are basically reliant on the outside food aids and medication. The rent now is more expensive than ever because of the limited number of houses in Gaza and many citizens are seeking for a place in fear of rain. I hope you can help as much as possible..
*My children have already chest infections inherited from their family, so they always need an urgent medication.
Costs:
Rent = $500
Two Bags of Flour = $400
Winter Supplies = $1000
Medication = $500
Note: Due to the unavailability of cash and money in the Gaza Strip, there is a withdrawal rate for each transaction and transfer that is required a commission ranged 20-30%.
Thank you so much
