Hello everyone,

My name is Danielle, and I’m reaching out in one of the hardest moments of my life. I never imagined having to ask for help like this, but our family has been hit with more than we can carry alone, and we’re reaching out for support—whether through donations or simply sharing our story.

What should have been a simple 6th-grade physical changed everything for us. The doctor noticed something wasn’t right, and after more testing, we were told that my daughter, Nevaeh, has severe scoliosis with a 70-degree curve. Hearing she would need major spinal surgery was devastating.

Before we could even process that shock, we were met with something even more terrifying. During pre-surgery testing, a cardiologist discovered that Nevaeh has a rare heart condition called PAVVR. In short, one of the veins from her lungs connects to the wrong part of her heart, making her heart work much harder than it should. The only way to correct it is through open-heart surgery.

As a mother, hearing that your child needs one major surgery is heartbreaking. Learning she needs two—one on her spine and one on her heart—has left us crushed and overwhelmed in ways I can hardly put into words.

Our days are now filled with appointments, long drives to specialists, medications, and constant fear of what the next update will bring. At the same time, I’m trying to stay strong for her twin sister, Maya, and her little brother, who are struggling with all the changes and the time away from home.

The emotional and financial strain has been enormous. Between travel expenses, lost income, and the growing cost of medical care, we are doing everything we can, but we no longer have the resources to keep up.
