I am reaching out to ask for your prayers, support, and generosity on behalf of my brother Joshua and his wife Saskia, a young Christian couple facing a heartbreaking journey. Their unborn daughter, Nevaeh (Heaven spelled backward), has been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition known as severe amniotic band syndrome, which has caused numerous complications including encephalocele, facial clefts, abdominal and bowel disruptions, and the loss of her right arm. As such, it is expected that Nevaeh will enter her heavenly home soon after delivery.

Despite the devastating prognosis and repeated pressure to terminate the pregnancy, Joshua and Saskia have made the courageous and faith-filled decision to cherish every moment God gives them with their daughter. They firmly believe that every life is sacred—no matter how brief—and are committed to honoring Nevaeh’s life.

As they pray for a miracle, they also must prepare for the unimaginable. They would like to give their daughter a beautiful farewell amidst all their family in Texas. The costs associated with a funeral and burial are significant. We are hoping to raise $7,000 to help cover:

-Transportation, so Nevaeh can be laid to rest near other family members in Texas ($700-$1,000)

-Funeral expenses, the remaining amount will be used for a memorial service and burial.

Saskia is currently 33 weeks pregnant and they are enjoying feeling Nevaeh's little kicks and listening to her heartbeat. They know that Nevaeh’s life—however short—has profound value and purpose, and they are trusting in God to carry them through.
