Hello, my name is Logan Mayberry, and I’m raising funds for an incredible family — Kelly and Neva Ford.

This week, while filming an undercover kindness video for my channel Reward The Kind, I was asking strangers in a Walmart parking lot to help me wrap a present. I was turned down multiple times… until I met Neva.

Without hesitation, Neva stopped, smiled, and helped me. She was gentle, kind, and genuinely caring — the kind of person you instantly feel peace around. While wrapping the gift, she opened up about her husband, Kelly, who has been battling cancer.

Just one day prior, Kelly had been released from the hospital after undergoing an MRI. During the procedure, he had a severe allergic reaction to the contrast dye and clinically passed away. By the grace of God, doctors were able to revive him. Praise the Lord.

After Neva finished wrapping the present, I shared the truth — the gift wasn’t for my girlfriend. It was actually for her. Inside was cash and a letter explaining that we wanted to take Neva and Kelly on a dream date, fully paid for, to give them a moment of joy during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

But their story goes even deeper.

Neva and Kelly are also full-time caregivers to their disabled son, who relies on them daily. Between mounting medical bills, caregiving responsibilities, and uncertainty about the future, Neva shared her fear about how they are going to keep moving forward financially — especially with Kelly’s health so fragile.

This GoFundMe is about more than a date night.

It’s about lifting the financial burden off a family that has already carried so much. It’s about giving them breathing room, peace of mind, and reminding them that they are not alone. God placed Neva in my path for a reason, and we believe this story was meant to be shared so we can come together and do something truly meaningful for this family.
