Four years ago, our dear friend Nestör Cordero was given only three months to live after being diagnosed with cancer. By the grace of God, he was blessed with four precious years filled with love, laughter, and time spent with family, friends, and the dogs he so selflessly rescued.

Nestör’s heart has always been one of kindness and compassion. Over the years, he and Michael have rescued several dogs and given them a home—Jake, Marvelous Myra, Phobee, and even one who stayed the night until its owners could be found the next day. Beyond caring for animals, Nestör and Michael have also opened their home to people in need. Together, their house has helped 12 people get back on their feet by offering them a safe place to stay and rebuild their lives.

Today, Nestör is at home on hospice care surrounded by his family, his dogs and his partner Michael. There are significant financial challenges related to his care, and support is needed to help ease this burden.
