Most likely you know about the tragedies happening in Houston this week. The aftermath of unusual Houston weather conditions has devastated some of our friends. Many of you know Nereida Ortiz, a gentle soul known for her giving and caring ways with superb professional skills. She is also a mother of five and the breadwinner for her family of 7.
This year was rough for her, and this week her home was nearly destroyed: the water pipes froze and burst in her attic, flooding their entire house.
The weather is still freezing and the house has become unlivable until it can be repaired; if you can help family in need, please consider donating (any amount is appreciated by her). She is a wonderful person who had given so much to the community and I am hoping their individuals out there who can help give back to her and her family in a time of need.
