Once the waters have settled, we will see the devastation of land and buildings - and to my people. The severe flooding has left families without safe homes, essential belongings, food, clothing and loss of livelihood.

Steps Foundation Nepal is raising funds to provide support to people and communities in preparation for the difficult winter months ahead.

The Government, military, police, emergency services and local communities are working hard to respond to the crisis. However, the needs are widespread, and many vulnerable people will continue to need support long after the floodwaters recede.

Winter Is Coming

As the waters settle many families will face the approaching winter as another serious challenge.

Steps Foundation Nepal will initiate a winter clothing collection, of warm and durable jackets. This under the Steps brand - as a sign of social awareness, and solidarity.

Our priority will be single mothers and their children, plus the elderly.

Step by Step

1. We purchase material from the local market.

2. Utilize our associates' factory, with its modern machines, and skilled workers.

3. The end collection will be 3 children sizes, and 4 adult sizes.

4. Distribute to single mothers and their children, and the elderly/infirm.

Steps Foundation Nepal's long time social work in health and education has always been built on the principle of: step by step. This rather unique response is a new chapter in that work - helping people through their recovery in the months ahead.

Together, step by step, we can help provide warmth this winter, and hope for tomorrow.
