Hi, everyone! Alx, here, at UCBK. By now you've heard about the horrific glacial flash flood that has devastated Nepal, leaving thousands homeless, missing, with confimed deaths rising.
Our Nepali friends at the Infinite Ability Centre in Katmandu really need your help to provide basic, immediate relief to as many people as they can reach!
My organization, UCBK (Universal Church of Baba's Kitchen), has collaborated in human relief efforts with the good young people at the Infinite Ability Centre helping rural/mountain area people survive the Covid pandemic... by establishing field clinics with medical staff, oxygen, medicines and basic food and other necessities for those in remote areas near Sindupalchowk, Nepal. Together, we did a GoFundMe in 2021 that was super-successful, and saved many lives.
Rural Nepal needs your help again
From our friend Amrit, who runs Infinite Ability Centre, and has seen the devastation and need for immediate aid with his own eyes (and sent some of the photos in this post):
"But honestly, what you are seeing here is only a small part of the actual situation. I was able to reach only the areas that still have road access. There are many villages further up in the mountains that I could not reach at all. From what I have been informed is some entire settlements have been swept away, and in a few places, not even a single house can be seen any more. Many families have lost everything, and there are still people whose whereabouts are unknown. The pictures and videos I shared do not fully show the scale of this disaster. What is happening beyond the accessible areas is heartbreaking and extremely difficult to comprehend.
From what we are seeing on the ground, the most urgent needs right now are basic survival supplies. The biggest priority is food supplies, as many families have lost access to their homes and normal sources of food. There is also an urgent need for tents and temporary shelter, fuel, batteries, lights/torches, power banks and charging equipment, medicines, and first-aid kits. Many affected areas have little or no electricity, and some communities are still cut off from proper access. People need immediate support simply to stay safe, warm, fed, and connected."
Let's send immediate relief!
UCBK, as an American non-profit, can easily collect the funds and get them to the Infinite Ability Centre folks in Nepal, so they can provide:
- Food supplies
- Tents and temporary shelter
- Basic necessities like fuel, batteries, flashlights, power banks/chargers
- Medical support like medicine and first-aid kits
As you can imagine, the need is urgent -- and immediate.
DONATE, SHARE, SUPPORT
Please, please, join us in our mission to help Amrit and his courageous team bring immediate relief to the Nepali people in this hour of extreme need.
Every amount helps us get nearer our goal of $10,000 to cover basic necessity relief needs as quickly as possible, and will save lives on the ground.
If you can’t donate funds directly, at least commit to share this campaign and enlist the help of friends who maybe CAN donate (and share)….?
And thank you, thank you, thank you, from UCBK, on behalf of Amrit Tiwari, Manita Karki, Prasiddi Timalsina, Rashila Tiwari, and all of our friends in the IAC's Flood Relief Team.
There are not enough hugs of gratitude for all of you!

For GoFundMe general disclaimer/explanation purposes....
UCBK, The Universal Church of Baba's Kitchen, the non-profit spiritual and charitable organization that I administrate (as President of the board), is raising this money on behalf of our friends in Katmandu, to distribute immediate aid in remote areas of Nepal afflicted by this horrible flooding.
We have a large email and donor base, so it makes sense for us to get the word out, collect the funds, and give them to the local relief team in Nepal as soon as we have them available.
UCBK is based in the United States, in California.
