Help Nepal: Divya's COVID Isolation Kit Fundraiser
Hello everyone,
I am Divya Khatri, a sophomore at the Village High School in Houston and am raising funds together with Divyesh Khatri, a freshman at Stanford University, and Elina Pachhai, a junior at Sir Winston Churchill High School in Calgary.
Currently, the COVID-19 situation in Nepal is rapidly worsening, by the day and is on track to have the highest fatality rate in South Asia by the end of May. Nepal’s health system is severely under-resourced; it has less than 2000 ICU beds and 700 ventilators.
This is why we are raising funds to go to the HAPSA, a non-profit organization led by our Family friend, Dr Ramu Kharel, who is currently in Nepal. His organization is creating home isolation kits to help people manage their health at home as much as possible. Your contribution will be helpful to purchase basic necessary kits which include oximeters, thermometers, masks, hand sanitizer, medications, and vitamins to help them self isolate at home.
Please consider donating; that will be extremely helpful in saving lives in Nepal.
