The short supply of the medical facilities and equipment's and the growing COVID cases in Nepal is really alarming. Therefore, we are requesting our diaspora community people, local business, local leaders and friends of Nepal in this difficult times for COVID-19 support.
Covid-19 cases are skyrocketing, hospitals are overwhelmed, and the country's Prime Minister is pleading for help from other nations. The situations are worsening day by day and it may go out of control in future. Nepal has a fragile health system, with fewer doctors per capita and a lower vaccination rate than its neighbor. According to the government's Covid-19 response plan from last May, the country only has 1,595 intensive care beds and 480 ventilators for its about 30 million people. As of Saturday, there were hospital bed shortages in 22 of the country's 77 districts, according to Nepal's Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC). https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/06/asia/nepal-covid-outbreak-intl-hnk-dst/index.html
A lack of infrastructure, medical equipment and supplies means that many people are struggling to survive through COVID-19. In this time of need, we have put together a fundraising initiative "Help Nepal Breathe" to acquire and provide vital OXYGEN to the patients in collaboration with Nepal government/non-government healthcare facilities.
