Hi, my name is Beba, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help on behalf of my best friend, Nelson, and his family during a very difficult time.

Nelson received a heart transplant 8 years ago, and in the last couple of months, he has been facing serious complications that have caused his heart and kidneys to fail. He’s been in the ICU for over 25 days, and doctors are working to get him back on the transplant list for a double transplant for heart and now kidney.

Due to his health, Nelson has been unable to work for the past 3 and a half months, and his wife, Denise, is unable to work as well due to her own medical conditions, including lupus and other serious health issues. On top of this, Denise is the primary caregiver for her father, who is a disabled and needs 24 hour care.

This family is facing overwhelming medical bills, daily expenses, and an uncertain future. I know they are too proud to ask for help, but I am setting up this GoFundMe to raise funds for their medicad, living expenses, and any additional costs related to Nelson’s ongoing treatment and transplant process.

I understand times are tough for everyone right now, but any contribution—big or small—will help ease the financial burden they are facing. Your generosity will allow them to focus on Nelson’s recovery and give Denise the support she needs to care for her family without the constant worry of how to make ends meet.
