Help Nelson Get Back On His Paws!

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. One of My beloved dog, Nelson, is in urgent need of surgery, and I'm unable to cover the costs on my own.

Nelson's Story

Nelson is a mixed breed who has been a part of our family since he was just four months old. Originally adopted by my brother, he became my responsibility when my brother could no longer care for him. Nelson is the sweetest, most loving dog you could ever meet. He adores cuddles, and his big kisses and drooling never fail to bring a smile to my face.

He has a zest for life that is contagious. Show him a body of water, and he'll dive right in with sheer joy. On sunny days, he loves nothing more than basking in the sun, although he quickly retreats indoors to the cool floor if mosquitos start to bother him.

The Hard Reality

Recently, Nelson started limping, and a visit to the vet brought devastating news. He has hip dysplasia, osteoarthrosis, and tears in both cranial cruciate ligaments (CCL) in his knees. The left knee, in particular, needs urgent surgery. Without it, Nelson won't be able to stand on it much longer.

Although he's young, I always joked that Nelson has an old man's soul, and now it seems he also has the body of an old dog. Seeing him in pain is heart-wrenching, and it’s unbearable to watch my playful, spirited companion struggle.

How You Can Help

Nelson's surgery is critical, and the cost is overwhelming. If we can at least repair his left CCL, it will give him a chance to run, play, and enjoy life again. Every dollar counts and brings us closer to giving Nelson the relief he desperately needs.
