Dear family and friends. Nelson Cabrera, my husband’s brother, was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) on February 2, 2021. He’s been out of work since starting chemotherapy treatments. Besides chemo, doctors recommended bone marrow transplant. By the grace of God, my husband was a full match as a bone marrow donor. On November 1, Nelson had the bone marrow transplant. He was hospitalized for a few weeks, and has been able to leave the hospital due to his progress. He has to stay close to MD Anderson for close monitoring and additional treatments. His wife, Reina, has been by his side and caring for him throughout all of his treatments. Losing almost all income for the household; we are setting up this Go Fund Me page to help Nelson with some financial relief. He’s a wonderful and hardworking man. He is on his way to recovery, but needs support through this difficult time. If you’re able to help with any amount, it would be such a blessing for Nelson and his family.
