Help Nellie to help Basil - UPDATE!

My daughter Nellie's beloved dog Basil needs surgery - in fact two operations on her hind leg. She is otherwise perfectly healthy and should give Nellie many more years of companionship once this is attended to.

Basil (named after the herb) has been Nellie's loyal and loving friend throughout the last ten mostly single years, never more so than in solo lockdown the last 15 months or so.

The procedures she needs are going to cost in excess of 7,000 pounds (!)

Anything you can contribute, however small, would be a huge help.
